Replacing the CMOS Battery

Replacing the CMOS Battery

Follow these steps to replace the CMOS battery:

Remove the chassis cover as described in “Removing the Chassis Cover” on
page 21.

2. Push on the retaining clip and remove the old battery from its holder, as shown in

Figure 2-54.

3. Push the new battery into its holder until the retaining clip snaps into place.

4. Install the chassis cover as described in “Installing the Chassis Cover” on page 23.

Note:

The system uses a standard CR2032 3V lithium coin-cell battery.
