1) OVERVIEW
Keypad HT is a two-way keypad that is built-into Silenya Top/Free control panel range and is used to arm/partial arm and disarm the control panel using a 5-digit
high security numeric code. The device transmits any code being entered as encrypted data which does not allow it to be reproduced for fraudulent purposes
and receives confirmation of operations from the control panel. This keypad can also transmits a “Panic” alarm as well as other commands to the control panel or
to special RX receivers over radio which allows to control various kinds of home automation functions. An built-in buzzer confirms such operations and emits low
intensity sounds should an event occur or to report that batteries need to be replaced.
2) TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:
Power supply:
Three 1.5 V AA batteries - Power consumption 5 uA on stand-by, 70mA during operations - Battery life: 2 years with 4 operations performed each day
- Low battery is locally reported by the LED indicator and by the repeated beeps emitted at each performed operation and transmitted to control panel.
Functions:
control panel management - panic alarm transmission - RX receivers management
Display and controls:
8 LEDs to monitor functions (see drawing b).
Radio transmission:
encoded at 40 bit - frequency and power compliant operations - Open field transmission range: 100m.
Dimensions -Weight-Housing-Temperature:
see figure
3) OPERATIONS
Caution! The keypad locks for 30 seconds and all of the LEDs flash after a wrong code is entered 8 times in the attempt to arm and/or disarm the system.
a)
TOTAL/PARTIAL ARMING - DISARMING:
enter the 5 digit codes and follow the instructions supplied in Figure “a”). Check event on the control panel if the REPORT
LED flashes when disarming the system.
b)
MISTAKES:
press the ESC key to cancel anything entered by mistake.
c) FAILURE TO ARM:
should the system fail to arm and should the “open window/door” or “report” LEDs flash, check the event on the control panel and remove it
or arm the system from the control panel since regulation does not allow arming over the keypad in this kind of instance.
d) OPERATION CONFIRMATION:
each time that the system is armed the keypad reports that the command has been sent to the control panel. The control panel
replies to confirm the operation by having the keypad sound 3 beeps and by turning on the armed zone LED indicators for 30 seconds. Each time that the system
is disarmed the keypad reports that the command has been sent to the control panel. The control panel replies to confirm the operation by having the keypad
sound 1 beep and by turning off the zone LED indicators. When the system is partially armed, the keypad will sound a prolonged “beeeep” for 5-6 seconds. The
control panel and siren confirm the above operations in the same manner.
e) DISARMING WHEN THREATENED:
emergency telephone calls are dialed when one or more DURESS codes are entered.
f) F1 KEY:
setup on RX receivers, it transmits a Bistable signal which enable or disables functions by pressing the receiver’s ON or OFF keys.
“ ! “ and F2 KEYS:
setup on the control panel, these controls enable alarms, functions and/or telephone calls dialing.
When setup on RX receivers, these transmit a pulse signal to the receiver.
g) NUMERIC KEYS:
appropriately setup on the RX receivers, these keys are used to enter a one or two digit code which in combination with the red (on) or green
(off) keys send a Bistable command to the receivers.
Caution!
These controls are setup by the installer according to customer requirements. They may be used to send a silent alarm which enables medical assistance,
assault or similar calls, to trigger sirens’ alarm (Panic alarm), to open automated gates/doors and other similar applications. We recommend using numeric keys for
on-off operations, such as turning on lights and/or home automations which are manually enabled/disabled. This manual explains how to setup and store these
functions.
4) SILENTRON FIRMWARE OPERATING DIFFERENCES
Aforementioned Item C “FAILURE TO ARM”: system is nevertheless armed when the control panel has been setup accordingly.
Aforementioned Item 2 “POWER SUPPLY”: low battery level is not reported to the control panel.
Caution! When the control panels uses firmware version 3015Q, QX and previous versions, press the red and green keys for 10 seconds (LED flashes 3 times)
before keyboard setup. You can undo operation. It will be confirm by the LED flashing 2 times.

6) CHECKING CONTROL PANEL’S CONDITION:
see Figure c).
7) COMMISSIONING - follow steps order sequence.
a) ASSIGNING KEYPAD TO THE CONTROL PANEL
Power the keypad. The keypad beeps once and all LED indicators turn on. Arm and disarm the control panel within 60 seconds. The keypad will be assigned to the
control panel after system disarming. The keypad buzzer will beep 6 times and the LED indicators will turn off to confirm that operations has been successfully
performed.
b) SETTING UP/DELETING ARM/DISARM 5 DIGIT CODES:

e) USING HT KEYPAD AS A MULTIPURPOSE REMOTE CONTROL
This keypad can be used to enable/disable RX receivers in addition to managing a Silenya control panel by using the “ ! “ keys. - Use to F1 or the F2 keys to send
a Bistable signal that enables/disables functions or the numeric keys to enter a one or two digit code which in combination with the red (on) or green (off) keys
send a Bistable command. Enable the receiver, enter the required numeric keys and press the red and green keys at the same time for this setup (see item see 4h).
8) 230V POWER SUPPLY:
use power supply unit part no. 5992 and connect it and described in the drawing
WITHOUNT PLACING THE BATTERIES IN THE UNIT.
The
device will not operate without power but initial setup will be preserved to be used again when power is restored.
