Device Connection
Before you start, turn OFF your computer and any other connected
peripheral devices. Unplug the computer's power cord.
For best results, make sure the driver for your existing Serial ATA
controller is properly installed.
1. Connect the Serial ATA cable and the mini-size power cable
to the Serial ATA-to-Ultra ATA Adapter.
Note: For your convenience, a "Y" split power cable is included.
You don't have to use it if your system has a mini-size power
connector available.

3. Attach the other end of the Serial ATA cable to your existing
Serial ATA controller. Installation is now complete.
2. Connect the Serial ATA-to-Ultra ATA Adapter to the UltraATA
hard disk drive. Make sure pin 1 of the adapter matches pin 1
on the hard disk drive.
Note: Make sure the UltraATA hard disk drive has its own
power.
