INSERTING AND REMOVING THE CARD
The SD1 Merrill camera uses a CompactFlash™ (CF) card (Type1) to store
the data. Type II CompactFlash™ and hard disk type cards cannot be used.
TO INSERT THE CARD

Set the
D
-dial to the
position.

Open the CF card cover, as shown in the
illustration.

Position the CF card with the label facing
toward the CF card cover and insert the CF
card smoothly, in the direction of the arrow,
as far as it can go into the slot.

The eject button will pop out slightly.

Close the CF card cover and slide it in the
direction shown by the arrow, until it clicks
shut

It may be necessary to format the card before use. (See

Ultra DMA (UDMA) or high-speed CF cards are recommended.
