The
OM500
Device
Installing
Your
Device
on
an
Offender
Before
installing
an
OM500
device,
ensure
the
device
is
fully
charged.
You
will
be
installing
the
device
on
an
individual’s
ankle.
DO
NOT
install
the
device
on
an
individual’s
wrist
or
around
any
other
parts
of
their
body.
The
device
should
always
be
installed
directly
against
the
skin
with
the
front
of
the
device
facing
outwards.
Ensure
that
the
offender
removes
any
high
‐
top
tennis
shoes
or
work
boats
to
have
direct
access
to
the
ankle.
For
officer
safety
reasons
it
is
recommended
that
you
have
that
offender
stand
facing
a
wall
with
their
knee
resting
in
a
chair
or
on
a
bench.
This
method
is
recommended
to
limit
the
offender’s
knowledge
of
the
instillation
process.
Step
1:
The
first
step
for
installing
the
OM500
device
is
to
have
the
offender
place
their
knee
on
a
chair
or
bench
with
both
of
their
hands
on
a
wall.
This
is
the
safest
position
to
install
the
device.
Installing
the
device
while
the
offender
is
in
this
position
will
provide
you
with
the
ability
to
install
the
device
out
of
view
of
the
offender.
