Diagnosing and troubleshooting

9.1

Communication Troubleshooting

Check the following:
–

There is power at the instrument.

–

The LCD shows the relevant data.

–

The device can be programmed using the handheld programmer.

–

If any fault codes are being displayed see General fault codes (Page 141) for a

detailed list.

Verify that the wiring connections are correct.

See the table below for specific symptoms.

Symptom

Corrective action

The device cannot be programmed via the

handheld programmer.

•

Ensure Write protect (6.2.1.) (Page 134) is set

to the unlock value.

You try to set a SITRANS LR200 parameter via

remote communications but the parameter re-

mains unchanged.

•

Ensure Write protect (6.2.1.) (Page 134) is set

to the unlock value, then try setting the pa-

rameter via the handheld programmer.

•

Ensure Access control (6.1.1.) (Page 134) is

set to Read/ Write.

•

Some parameters can be changed only when

the device is not scanning. Try pressing

Mode

to put the device into PROGRAM

mode.
