there is a dead time of 500 ms. The time can be prolonged for
extremely low fault currents.

Versions with relay output
These devices can be fitted in conventional types of switch-
gear. The auxiliary trip transformer in the current transformer
circuit or another power source can be used as power supply
source for the trip coil (see Figure 2-24 to Figure 2-26 and see
ordering data and accessories in chapter 2.11).
In case there is a fault tripping will be carried out for at least
500 ms. When a switching operation is carried out the trip
command remains in a waiting state until the circuit-breaker
trips.
Housing
The device is available for

Panel flush mounting and
•
Standard rail mounting
The housings of the 7SJ45 devices are dimensioned to fit into
most existing panel cutouts.
In the condensation-proof version, the module inside the device
is sealed with protective lacquer, so that the device can be used
even in very rough and extremely humid environmental
conditions.
