Variable recording
In addition to the fixed signals, 4 signal traces with variable selection are available on each tab
of the dialog box. In this way, a scalar signal can usually be selected that is then recorded for
the trolley and hoist. However, if you choose a TLS signal here, the behavior is different. In this
case, only the TLS signal from the variable recording is recorded, but nothing for the trolley and
hoist.
The TLS signals for variable recording are identified by the following numbers:
Tab 2:
150 ... 155, 240 ... 255
Tab 3:
150 ... 158, 240 ... 245
Tab 4:
202 ... 216, 240 ... 246
The signals are listed in the Table 8-1 TLS signals (Page 278) and in the description of the
PROFINET interface (see Chapters TLS (Page 90) and TLS (Page 104)).

Note on signals from the variable recording with number greater than or equal to 200:
If such a signal is selected for a field of the variable recording, the trace will record four TLS
signals.
For example, if the TLS signal s_act_ABCD is selected, the signal curves of each of the four
cylinders will appear in the trace with the signals s_act_A, s_act_B, s_act_C, and s_act_D.
Note on tab 3:
Variable recording on tab 3 contains not only signals ska_in_comm and ska_out_comm but also
signals abcd_in_comm and abcd_out_comm. They are composed of a_in_comm, etc.

Effective pendulum length
This tool ("Effective pendulum length" tab) corresponds to the "commissioning step 2" of the
sway control system and is envisaged for the commissioning of systems without a camera, e.g.
on a GSU. Note that the counting of oscillations at one of the two reversal points begins with 0
(0.1 … 10).
