Installing connection boxes
Use the product information provided for the connection box.
1.
Mount the connection box.
2.
Set a unique box ID.
3.
Connect the protective conductor.
4.
If you are installing a hard-wired F-system, connect the cables for the EMERGENCY STOP button and acknowledgment button with
your processing unit.
5.
Connect the connection box with PROFINET (LAN).
6.
Connect the cables for the power supply.
Connecting the connecting cable to the Mobile Panel
1. Insert a
SIMATIC HMI
memory card
if required.
2. Connect the
connector of the
cable to the X1 and
X80 interfaces in
the connection
compartment.
3. Close the
connection
compartment.
The maximum
permissible
torque is 0.2 Nm.
Connecting the Mobile Panel
Repeat steps 1 to 3 for each connection box you operate with the fail-safe HMI device.
Transferring a project
Note
Configure the PROFIsafe address of the HMI device in the Control Panel before the project transfer. The PROFIsafe address in the Control Panel must correspond to the PROFIsafe address
of the HMI device in the project.
1.
Connect the configuration PC with the LAN.
2.
To transfer the project, proceed according to the description in the "Mobile Panels 2nd Generation" operating instructions or in the online help for WinCC (TIA Portal).
