Principle of the Interfaces between Lightning Protection Zones

At the interfaces between the lightning protection zones, you must implement
measures to prevent the transfer of overvoltages.

The principle of a lightning protection zone also requires that at the interfaces
between the lightning protection zones, all cables and piping capable of carrying
lightning stroke current (!) must be included in the equipotential bonding system.

The cables and piping capable of carrying lightning stroke current include:

•

metal pipes (for example water, gas, and heat),

•

active

cables

–

power cables (for example, system power supply, 24 V power supply)

–

signal cables (for example a bus cable).
