Overload release test

You can perform an overload release test either in the initial state or in operating
mode. An internal program checks the overload and current flow acquisition.

Safeguard against accidental opening

You can apply a lead seal or place a lock on the transparent cover of the motor
starter EM 300 EDS/ERS to prevent unauthorized setting of the rotary encoder
switch, for example.

Operation

Remote reset

Remote reset causes the following:

• If the rotary encoder switch in in position tripping LOCAL: Resets overload

release as soon as the motor model has fallen below the release threshold.

• If the rotary encoder switch is in position tripping LOCAL or tripping

REMOTE: Resets a FAULT signal if the cause of the fault has been remedied.
