Conformity with FCC
The FCC approval applies to the following SCALANCE M device:

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital
device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules.
These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency
energy.
If not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, this may cause harmful
interference to wireless communications. There can be no guarantee, however, with certain
installations, even when complying with the instructions, that no interference will be caused.
If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception that can be
determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is recommended to try to combat
the interference with the following measures.

Change the orientation of the receiving antenna or install it at a different location.

Increase the distance between the SCALANCE M and the radio or television receiver.

SCALANCE M.
The installation of the SCALANCE M and the antenna as well as servicing must be
performed by qualified technical personnel only. When servicing the antenna, or working at
distances closer than those listed below, make sure that the device has been turned off.
