Installation checklist
The following checklists tell you what you need for MK8000 installation, and the
steps you go through to install it.
ITEMS NEEDED FOR INSTALLATION
The following list outlines information and items needed to install MK8000:
Administrator account name and password is required.
In case of a distributed system, all PCs should be in the network and configured
into the same domain.
Network names of all the PCs to install must be known.
The hardware key (dongle) is needed, which can be designed for parallel or USB
port installation.
A license PAK associated to the hardware key is always required.
Installation CD: MK8000 is distributed on a CD that includes all the necessary
software and an installation guide.
If SiPass is required on the same server, SiPass server software must be in-
stalled before MK8000.
If required, video application software (e.g. for SISTORE DVR) should preferably
be already installed.
If required, OPC servers should preferably be already installed.
SQL server is required locally or on the network. If an external SQL server is
used, make sure to have the server name and the authentication password. If
SiPass is also used, then the SQL Server is provided by SiPass.
If you are migrating from an existing system to a newer version, you should refer
to the Release Notes prior to performing the installation procedure.
