Check if the slits are horizontal to the detector table (see Fig. 7).

Move the grid to the right end position.

Check if the slits are horizontal to the detector table (see Fig. 7).

If the slits isn't horizontal, loosen the screw on the wheel and adjust it so the slits is
horizontal in both end positions.

Adjust the grid location

Open the carbon detector cover.

Make sure the grid in mounted in parallel to the detector and lined up to the front of
the table. The front switch has to be engaged.
