Configuring the base station

Activating the answering machine

Only available for Gigaset SX255isdn and Gigaset SX353isdn.

Double-click

Configuration

Folder List

This displays the dialogues available.

Click

Local Answering Machine

The device list and the corresponding tabs are then displayed.

In the device list, click the answering machine you want to activate.

This highlights the row. Below the device list you will see the active and changeable

settings for the selected answering machine.

If necessary, deactivate the

Deactivate AM and hide in handset menus

option.

In the

Default settings

section, select an option for the selected answering

machine:
– If you activate the

AM off

option,

the answering machine is available but switched off. You can switch the answer-

ing machine on from a handset when you need it.

– If you activate the

AM all day

option,

the answering machine is available and switched on the whole day. You can

switch the answering machine off from a handset.

– If you activate the

AM time control

option,

the answering machine is available and switched on as per the settings in the

Time control

tab. You can switch the answering machine off from a handset.

Click

Apply

The new settings will be sent to the base station.
