USB connection
u
Use only the supplied USB cable to connect your Gigaset base station to the PC.
u
Do not extend the USB cable. This could lead to higher EMV radiation.
u
Do not insert or remove the USB cable during a storm. This could cause an electric
shock.
Data transfer, software problems
When using Gigaset base stations to transfer data (e.g. surfing, sending faxes), software
problems on the PC (e.g. operating system crash, program bugs) may in rare cases make
it impossible to cut the data connection via your Gigaset base station from talk&surf.
u
Check whether your base station shows that the connection has been terminated
(see the base station's operating instructions). Otherwise, the connection will con-
tinue to incur charges.
u
Reboot your PC.
u
Remove the ISDN cable from the Gigaset base station for at least 20 seconds. This
will definitely close down the connection.
