Receiving an SMS
All entered text messages are stored in the
input list. Linked text messages are dis-
played as
one
SMS. If this is too long or it
is transmitted incompletely, it is divided
into several single text messages. Since a
text message stays in the list even after
you have read it, you should delete text
messages from the list regularly.
The display tells you if the message mem-
ory is full.

Deleting text messages you no longer
need (page 31).
Input list
The input list contains:
u
all received text messages starting with
the latest.
u
text messages which could not be sent
because of an error.
New text messages are signalled to all
Gigaset S44 handsets by the symbol

in the display, flashing of the message
key
f
and an advisory tone.
Open the input list with the
f
key
Precondition:
The list contains new text
messages.
f
Press.
Select a mailbox if necessary and enter the
mailbox PIN.
The input list is displayed as follows
(example):
1 Number of new + number of old, read en-
tries
2 Name of the mailbox, here: general mailbox
An entry in the list is displayed e.g as fol-
lows:
01/02: Total number of new SMS/no. Number
of displayed text messages
