Close the application that is using
the COM port.

tion program: Registration
not possible.
The base station may not have
been ready for registration or
the radio connection was tem-
porarily affected by "external
influences".
Repeat registration with a base that
is ready. The PIN must be entered
for this (factory setting: "0000").

The PIN entered does not
match the valid PIN.
If you forgot the current PIN, reset
the Gigaset M105 Data unit to the
factory defaults. The preset PIN is
"0000".

Fax function is not working. SW and modem simulate a
Class1 fax.
Class 1 fax mode is not supported
by Gigaset M105 Data for technical
reasons. Gigaset M105 Data sup-
ports Class 2 fax mode.
Find out about additional settings in the modem manual or descrip-
tion of your fax software. (The AT command AT+FCLASS=? is use-
ful, provided this is supported by the modem. If the modem’s answer
string contains a 2, then your modem supports Class 2 fax mode).
Programs that use DCD
(Data Carrierer Detect) are
not working properly.
The DCD output at the local
adapter is controlled by the
DCD input at the remote adapt-
er.
Use a null-modem cable at the re-
mote adapter.
