5  Power supply and batteries 

Only one battery block can be installed in the PC1001-A3 or PC1002-A3 wall 
mount cabinet. It is buffered via the power supply. 

General guidelines 

 

 

Do not connect the batteries after installation; instead, connect them immediately 
before commissioning starts. 

●  The batteries must be mounted in a leak-proof manner. 
●  The batteries can be attached to the cabinet with a battery mounting kit. The 

battery mounting kit is included in the scope of delivery. 

5.1  Power supply in PC1001 

The 'Voice alarm panel Compact 400' PC1001-A3 uses a Merawex power supply 
ZM24V24A-600PZ. It is mounted and pre-assembled in the cabinet with the 
following connections: 
●  230 V screw terminals connection 
●  Temperature sensor input 
●  1x DC 24 V output for supplying power to the digital audio matrix board 
●  1x screw terminal for 1x 24 V battery bank 
●  3x connections with potential-free relay contacts for supply system and battery 

monitoring

●  The battery connection cables must be as short as possible.
