Section 1: Introduction

1.1

Relay Menus and Display

All 7SR1x relay fascias have similar appearance and support the same access keys. The basic menu structure
consists of three main menus, these being:

Settings Mode -

allows the user to view and (if allowed via passwords) change settings in the relay.

Instruments Mode -

allows the user to view the conditions that the relay is experiencing i.e. current, voltage etc.

Fault Data Mode -

allows the user to view the type and data of any fault that the relay has detected.

All menus may be viewed without entering a password but actions will not be permitted if the relevant passwords
have been set.

The menus can be viewed via the LCD by pressing the access keys as shown below:

Pressing CANCEL returns to the Identifier screen.

This document describes the text descriptions as they appear in the menu structure when the relay is using the
default files. The user can programme the relay to use alternative text descriptions by installing user language
files through the Reydisp Evolution software language configuration tool – see Section 2.1.5.

1.1.1

LCD Contrast

To change the contrast on the LCD insert a flat bladed  screwdriver into the screw  head below the contrast
symbol, turning the screw head left (anti-clockwise) lightens  the contrast of the LCD  and turning it right
(clockwise) darkens the display.
