Connection of the Configuration & Diagnostic Software

You can connect the Configuration & Diagnostic Software (CDS) to the bus node in
different ways and/or to the devices connected to the bus node with safe SICK device
communication.

Take organisational measures for protection during the configuration!

During the configuration, ensure that no dangerous states may occur in the system or in
that part of the system which is being monitored by the devices connected to the bus
node.
The bus node only transmits failsafe values during the configuration, i.e. it sets all the bits
in the process image to 0. Furthermore, the status bit

(failsafe value) of the

PROFIsafe telegram is also set.
