Integrated value (averaging for the measurement display)
Function
The “Integrated value” is the interval of sliding averaging for the measurement display. This
produces a more constant measurement display if the measurement signal is irregular or
“noisy”. The EuroFID then does not display current measured values, but mean values from
the current measured value and the previous measured values.
Measured value damping is not active during calibration.
On devices which are specified as gas detectors, the integrated value is fixed at “0”
(cannot be adjusted).

If the “Integrated value” is increased, the reaction time (90% time) of the
measurement display is greater.

If the “Integrated value” is decreased, the measurement irregularity of the
measurement display can increase.
There is also a similar setting option
– for the “Measured value” analog output

– for the “Reference value” analog output → P. 121, §11.11.4
Small particles can cause extreme fluctuations in the measured value. The
installed sample gas filter cannot retain particles which are smaller than 1
μ m.
The particles burn spontaneously in the FID flame and cause fluctuations in
the measured value.
