Starting up and functions
• Turn the thermostat up to maximum (clockwise as far as it will go).
• Operate the fan heater by turning the function controller to one of the three
positions:
Fan only (thermostat set to maximum)
I
Heating at half power (1000 W)
II
Heating at full power (2000 W)
The indicator lamp on the front of the unit now lights up. The most economical
way of using the heater is to heat the room up at full power and then to switch
to half power to maintain the temperature.
• The fan operates at the same speed for both half and full power, and the only
difference is the number of heating elements used.
• Once the desired temperature is reached, turn the thermostat controller
slowly down until you hear a click. The temperature is now set.
The fan heater will switch itself automatically on and off to maintain the set
temperature. When the unit switches off, the signal lamp goes out. To set a
higher or lower temperature, simply turn the thermostat controller clockwise or
anticlockwise respectively.
• To switch the fan heater off, set the power controller to OFF (O). The signal
lamp goes out. The signal lamp thus indicates that the fan heater is operating
and not simply whether it is connected to the mains supply or not.
• Now pull the mains plug from the socket.
