Internal Peripheral Connectors

Enhanced IDE and Floppy Connectors (IDE1/IDE2 & FDD1)

FB77 mainboard features two 40-pin dual-channel IDE device connectors
(IDE1/IDE2), providing support for up to four IDE devices, such as CD-ROM
and Hard Disk Drive (HDD). This mainboard also includes one 34-pin floppy
disk controller (FDC) to accommodate the Floppy Disk Drive (FDD). More-
over, this mainboard comes with one 80-pin ATA 100/66/33 ribbon cable
to connect IDE HDD, and one 34-pin ribbon cable for FDD connection.

Serial ATA Connectors (SATA1/SATA2)

The Serial ATA is an enolutionary replacement for the Parallel ATA physical
storge interface. Serial ATA is scalable and will allow future enhancements to
the computing platform.
The Serial ATA support all ATA and ATAPI device, including CDs, DVDs,
tapes devices, high capacity removeable devices, zip drivers and CDRW's.
The Serial ATA interface supports data transfer rates up to 150MB/s.

Important: Ribbon cables
are directional; therefore,
connect the recable stripe
to the same side.
