INSTALLING CARTRIDGE FILTER

     WARNING

 

– 

ALWAYS TURN THE UNIT OFF BEFORE REMOVING THE DUST HOUSING.

1.   If not already installed, slide foam sleeve down over outside of cartridge filter

 (Figure 4).

2.   With dust housing removed from base of unit, slide the cartridge/foam filter assembly down over filter cage, pushing until the filter seals against base

 (Figure 5).

3.   To clean filters, remove the filter assembly by holding onto the handle of unit and pull, while twisting, the filter assembly off the filter cage

 (Figure 6).

4.   Remove foam sleeve from cartridge filter by gently pulling foam sleeve off of cartridge filter

 (Figure 7).

5.   To clean cartridge filter, shake or brush off excess dirt

 (Figure 8) or rinse (from the inside of the filter) with water (Figure 9). Dry completely.

6.   To clean foam sleeve, shake excess dirt off with a rapid up and down movement 

(Figure 10) or rinse (from the inside of the filter) with water for a minute or two (Figure 11). Gently squeeze out 

excess water, blot with a clean towel and allow to dry completely. Reinstall onto dry cartridge filter. 

7.   Reinstall cartridge/foam filter assembly onto filter cage.

 

 

 

       

CAUTION

 – KEEP FILTERS CLEAN

EFFICIENCY OF THE VACUUM IS LARGELY DEPENDENT ON THE FILTER. A CLOGGED FILTER CAN CAUSE OVERHEATING AND POSSIBLY DAMAGE THE CLEANER. CHECK THE 

FILTER PERIODICALLY AND REPLACE AS REQUIRED. DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR DRY. DO NOT USE THE VACUUM OR FILTERS FOR COLLECTING HAZARDOUS OR OTHER HEALTH 

ENDANGERING MATERIALS.

EMPTYING THE DUST HOUSING

INSTALLING ACCESSORIES

1.   With the unit turned off and the dust housing facing the floor, press the release button and remove the dust housing.

2.   Empty contents of the dust housing.

3.   Reinstall dust housing.

(Not standard with all models)

1¼” accessories may be attached to the unit to meet your cleaning needs.  

1.  While holding the dust housing, remove snout by grasping and pulling away from unit 

(Figure 12).

2.  Position 1¼” accessory over hole in dust housing and push accessory towards unit until it seals against dust housing

 (Figure 13). Twist slightly to tighten the connection.

3.  To remove accessory, grasp and pull accessory away from unit, while holding the dust housing

 (Figure 14).

4.  Position snout over hole in dust housing and push snout towards unit until it seals against dust housing

 (Figure 15).

IF ANY OF THE MOTOR HOUSING PARTS SHOULD BECOME DETACHED OR BROKEN, EXPOSING THE MOTOR OR 

ANY OTHER ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS, OPERATION SHOULD BE DISCONTINUED IMMEDIATELY TO AVOID PERSONAL INJURY OR FURTHER 

DAMAGE TO THE VACUUM. REPAIRS SHOULD BE MADE BEFORE REUSING THE VACUUM.

STORAGE

Before storing your vacuum cleaner the tank should be emptied and cleaned. 

The cleaner should be stored indoors.

LUBRICATION

No lubrication is necessary as the motor is equipped with lifetime lubricated bearings.
