Must a destination device display video and sound based on its own EDID?
No. A destination device does not have to display its native resolution. Through the EDID learning function, a destination device can
display based on the EDID of another destination, assuming there is no capability issue. Take the following 8x8 switcher for example.
Suppose all the destination and source ports are connected.
How to let Destination 2 display the movie from Source 1, based upon the EDID of Destination 3?

After Source 1 has learned the EDID of Destination 3, let Destination 2 display the movie from Source
1, which now outputs based upon the EDID of Destination 3. In main page, press destination button 2
and then source button 1.
