Battery Installation

Read, understand, and follow all safety and operating instructions in this manual.

The hedge trimmer will operate when the battery is installed, 
the power indicator LED is lit, and the throttle trigger, throttle 
trigger lockout, and interlock switch are engaged. Make sure 
the hedge trimmer is properly positioned to prevent loss of 
control and possible serious injury. Keep movable parts of the 
hedge trimmer off the ground and away from objects that 
could become entangled.

Note: The battery comes partially charged from the factory and 

needs to be fully charged before first use.

1. Make sure power to unit is turned off.

Note: 

DH2000 shipped with battery attached to hedge trimmer with 

battery spacer. Remove screw (D), and remove battery 
spacer (E) for initial battery installation.

2. Align ridges (A) on battery pack with grooves in hedge trimmer. 

Slide battery pack into hedge trimmer.

Assure the battery pack latch (B) snaps into place and battery pack 
is secure before beginning operation.

Note: Battery pack latch release (C) is in the closed (X) position 

when battery pack latch (B) is correctly engaged.

3. To remove battery, move battery pack latch release (C) to the 

open (Y) position and slide battery pack out of hedge trimmer.
