Operating Instructions
1.
Loosen ribs prior to winding.
2.
Release the slide tilt and lift to the top position.
3.
Opening.
Turn the crank clockwise, the umbrella will open. Turn the crank anticlock-
wise, the umbrella will close. When cranking, if you feel pressure and the umbrella is
not opening, spread the umbrella ribs using your hands, then continue to crank open.
4.
Tilting.
When you want to change the angle of your umbrella (Tilt), slide the runner up
or down the mast until you reach the angle that you desire. Rotate tilt lock knob clock-
wise to lock.
5.
Closing.
When closing umbrella slide the knob down towards bottom of mast, at same
time turn handle anti-clockwise to close the umbrella. Use fabric tie to secure umbrella
frame to mast.
6.
Rotating.
The umbrella will rotate 360 degrees by simply stepping on the base pedal;
rotate the main frame by hand. When the umbrella reaches the position desired, re-
lease the foot pedal and the umbrella will lock into place.
7.
LED Light Attachment.
Attaching optional Shelta LED ‘Flying Saucer’ light (available
at your Shelta retailer) is easy. Rotate the light attach bracket on underside of umbrella
hub in either direction to cause it to drop down. The opened LED light is attached to
this, then clicked closed. Battery life is at least 60 hours.
