To avoid the danger of fire

IM PORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

1. The m icrow ave oven should not be left unat-

tended during operation. Pow er levels that
are too high or cooking tim es that are too
long m ay overheat foods resulting in a fire.

2. This oven is not designed to be built-in to a

w all or cabinet.

3. The electrical outlet m ust be readily accessi-

ble so that the unit can be unplugged easily in
an em ergency.

4. The AC pow er supply m ust be 230-240V, 50Hz.
5. It is recom m ended that a separate circuit  serv-

ing only this appliance be provided.

6. Do not place the oven in areas w here heat is

generated. For exam ple, close to a conven-
tional oven.

7. Do not install the oven in an area of high

hum idity or w here m oisture m ay collect.

8. Do not store or use the oven outdoors.
9. If food being heated in the oven begins to

sm oke, DO NOT OPEN THE DOOR. Turn off
and unplug the oven and w ait until the food
has stopped sm oking. Opening the door w hile
food is sm oking m ay cause a fire.

10. Use only m icrow ave-safe containers and

utensils.

11. Do not leave the oven unattended w hen

using disposable plastic, paper or other com -
bustible food containers.

12. Clean the w aveguide cover, the oven cavity,

the turntable and roller stay after use. These
m ust be dry and free from  grease. Built-up
grease m ay overheat and begin to sm oke or
catch fire.

13. Do not place flam m able m aterials near the

oven or ventilation openings.

14. Do not block the ventilation openings.
15. Rem ove all m etallic seals, w ire tw ists, etc.,

from  food and food packages. Arcing on
m etallic surfaces m ay cause a fire.

16. Do not use the m icrow ave oven to fry w ith oil

or heat oil for deep frying. The tem perature
can not be controlled and the oil m ay catch
fire.

17. To m ake popcorn, use only special m icro-

w ave m akers.

18. Do not store food or any other item s inside

the oven.

19. Check the settings after you start the oven to

ensure the oven is operating as desired.

20. Do not put things on top or cover the outer

cabinet.

21. To avoid overheating and fire, special care

m ust be taken w hen cooking or reheating
foods w ith a high sugar or fat content, for
exam ple, Sausage rolls, Pies or christm as
pudding.

Warning

1. Do not operate the oven if it is dam aged or

m alfunctioning. Check the follow ing before
use.
(1) The door (not w arped)
(2) The hinges and safety door latches

(not broken or loose)

(3) The door seals and sealing surfaces
(4) The oven cavity (not dented)
(5) The pow er supply cord or plug

2. Do not try to adjust or repair the oven yourself

because of hazard. The oven m ust be adjusted
or repaired by a qualified service technician
trained by SHARP.

3. Do not operate the oven w ith the door open

or alter the safety door latches in any w ay.

4. Do not operate the oven if there is an object

betw een the door seals and sealing surfaces.

5. Do not allow  grease or dirt to build up on

the door seals and sealing surfaces.

6. Individuals w ith PACEM AKERS should check

w ith their doctor or the m anufacturer of the
pacem aker for precautions regarding m icro-
w ave ovens.

1. Under no circum stances should you rem ove

the outer cabinet.

2. Never spill or insert any objects into the door

lock openings or ventilation openings. In the
event of a spill, turn off and unplug the oven
im m ediately, and call a SHARP service agent.

3. Do not im m erse the pow er supply cord or

plug in w ater or any other liquid.

4. Do not let the pow er supply cord hang over

the edge of a table or counter.

5. Keep the pow er supply cord aw ay from  heat-

ed surfaces.

6. If the oven lam p fails please consult your

dealer or a qualified service technician trained
by SHARP.

7. Sh o u l d  t h e p o w er  su p p l y  co r d  b eco m e

dam aged, it m ust be replaced w ith a special
co r d  su p p l i ed  b y  a SERVICE CEN TRE
APPROVED BY SHARP. And i t m ust be
replaced by a qualified service technician
trained by SHARP.
