To record from a microphone
To the MIC IN
socket

Connect a stereo microphone to the MIC IN
socket.

Insert a recordable MiniDisc (page 13).

Press the REC button.
"
Recording is paused.
"
"DISCONNECT" will appear for 1 second if nothing
is connected.

To perform group recording, hold down the
GROUP button for 2 seconds or more so that
"GR" is lit.
When group recording is not performed, hold down
the GROUP button for 2 seconds or more so that "GR"
goes out.

Press the or button to adjust the re-
cording level (page 20).

Press the MENU button.
The unit enters the menu select mode.

Select "REC MODE" by pressing the or
button and press the MENU button.

Select the recording mode (step 3, page 35)
and press the MENU button.

Press the button at the desired point.
Recording will start.
