on telephone, postage and courier costs. The Sharp FO-IS115N offers
four convenient distribution features:
• Send to E-mail
Quick and ultra-efficient, just place your document in the tray, enter
the recipient’s address, or use its Global Address Book to look up an
e-mail address and hit start. Documents are automatically converted
to PDF or TIFF format and sent as an attachment.
• Send to Network Folders
Reduce paperwork and related storage costs by sending documents
directly to a network folder. Simplify filing and paper handling for
busy offices in just a few steps.
• Send to FTP
Need to share multiple-page documents that are too big to e-mail?
With Send to FTP, you can scan documents up to 30 pages per
destination and post to an FTP address.
• Send to Fax
With its plain-paper laser engine technology and advanced fax functions,
the FO-IS115N delivers. The Super G3 modem transmits documents
quickly—so your workflow keeps moving.

• Authorized Transmission
automates the approval process and
delivery of faxes and e-mails. Completely transparent to the user,
you can protect your business faxes and e-mails from being sent
without authorisation—ideal for compliance in virtually any
office environment.
• Secure Fax Release
minimises the risk of faxed documents being
removed from the paper tray. With PIN code authorisation required
to “release” the fax from memory, you have the control to print
when it’s convenient for you.
• Inbound Fax Routing
allows fax receptions to be sent directly to
an e-mail address, network folder or FTP site—so you’ll never miss
an important document no matter where you are. You can also select
this feature to maintain an electronic copy for secure document archival.
• User Authentication
restricts the use of the FO-IS115N and selected
functions to authorized users only. Before performing any function,
the user is prompted to login, providing greater control over usage.

keyboard makes it easy to program numbers and addresses.

functions can be easily managed through the user-friendly web page
right from your desktop. The intuitive interface allows you to set user
preferences, configure network settings and manage destinations.

E-mail or Fax is initiated from the FO-IS115N, but held in its secure memory until the
transmission is approved or rejected.
An e-mail is sent to the specified “Approver” requesting approval to transmit the document.
To approve the transmission, the “Approver” replies (without comment) to the e-mail. To
reject the transmission, the approver replies to the e-mail with “Reject” in the subject line.
An e-mail can automatically be sent to the “Requester” notifying them of the approval or
rejection of the transmission request.
If the transmission is approved, the FO-IS115N transmits the document. After transmission,
the document is deleted from the machine’s memory. If the document is rejected, the
transmission is automatically deleted from the machine’s memory.
Operating the FO-IS115N Workgroup Document Communication System is easy and
intuitive. Easily input e-mail addresses and phone numbers with the QWERTY keyboard
and numeric keypad.
