When replacing the belt, always set the RUG/FLOOR Selector pedal in the "FLOOR"
position.

HOW TO REPLACE THE BELT AGITATOR ASSEMBLY
After removing the bottom plate (see page 13)
to determine if the belt or the agitator is worn or
broken.
Be sure that the flat belt is not twisted and all
rotating parts move smoothly. (Fig.43)
And secure the bottom plate with four screws.
(see page 13)
Pull out the agitator and then remove the flat
belt from the motor shaft. (Fig. 42)
Loop the (new) belt around the motor shaft and
(new) agitator as shown. (Fig. 42)
Then re-insert the (new) agitator assembly,
making sure that both ends of the agitator
assembly fit in the groove of the nozzle head.
(Fig. 43) Be sure to install the new flat belt into
the belt guide properly. (Fig. 43)
