to the grill.
∙ Do not position the grill next to a wall or
corner, and ensure that no in fl ammable
materials are stored near it.
∙ Do not operate the appliance outdoors.
∙ If the lid shows any sign of damage, the
grill must not be used with it open.
∙ Do not leave the appliance unattended
while in use.
∙ Do not allow the power cord to touch hot
surfaces.
∙ Always switch off and remove the plug
from the wall socket after use,
- in cases of malfunction, and,
- during cleaning.
∙ When removing the plug from the wall
socket, never pull on the power cord;
always grip the plug itself.
∙ No responsibility will be accepted if
damage results from improper use, or if
these instructions are not complied with.
Application
This appliance is an electric table grill
suitable for low-fat searing and grilling of
meat, fi sh, poultry or vegetables.
The ribbed grill surface is particularly
suitable for grilling steaks, and the smooth
side for fi sh, vegetables or sausages.
Before using for the fi rst time
∙ Remove any packing materials
completely, before the appliance is used
for the fi rst time.
∙ The grill plate and fat collection tray
should be cleaned with a damp, lint-free
cloth. Wipe thoroughly dry afterwards.
∙ Then let the grill heat up for about 5 - 10
minutes without any food on it. This will
remove the smell typically encountered
when fi rst switching on a grill. A little
smoke may be emitted; for that reason,
adequate ventilation should be ensured
by opening windows or balcony doors.
Indicator light
During the heating phase, the indicator
light on the thermostat comes on. Once the
pre-set temperature level is reached, the
light goes out.
Glass lid
The grill can be used with or without the lid.
To open the lid, slide the lid opener (located
above the lid handle) to the rear and lift the
lid. Once opened, take special care not to
push the lid to the front or rear. To close the
lid, fi rst pull it up and then fold it down. For
easy cleaning, the lid may be removed by
pulling upwards. To re-attach, slide the lid
into the guide slot from the rear.
Thermostat
The thermostat connected to the power cord
serves to regulate the grill temperature. The
following settings are recommended:
1-2: keeping warm
3-4: for delicate grill food such as fi sh or
poultry
5 : for steaks, sausages and vegetables
Operation
∙ Fit the fat collection tray inside the
appliance.
∙ Fit the grill plate with the thermostat
socket to the right.
∙ We recommend fi rst applying a light coat
of oil to the plate to prevent sticking.
∙ Fit the glass lid and close it.
∙ Insert the thermostat into its
corresponding socket.
∙ Insert the plug into a suitable wall outlet.
