Safety information
This quality light was built according to the rules of tech-
nology. The light was built, tested and delivered in proper
condition. To maintain this condition and to ensure safe
operation, the user must follow the instructions and warn-
ings of the operating instructions.
If it is to assume that safe operation is no longer possible,
the lamp must be taken out of service.
It is to assume that a safe operation is not
possible
• if the illuminant shows visible damage
• if the illuminant is no longer working properly
• after prolonged storage under inconvenient
conditions
• after extreme transport damage
In these cases, the luminaire must be sent in for repair.
Repairs to the luminaire must be carried out only by the
manufacturer, his customer service department or a quali-
fied electrician. A qualified electrician has the professional
training, knowledge and experience, as well as know-
ledge of the pertinent standards, to assess the work they
are required to carry out and recognize possible hazards.
Warranty repairs are carried out only by the manufacturer.
ATTENTION!
The light source of this luminaire may only be replaced
by the manufacturer or a service technician appointed
by him or a similarly qualified person.
ATTENTION!
• The hand lamp complies with protection class IP54,
i.e. it is protected against the ingress of dust and
splashing water. However, you must never immerse
the hand lamp in water or similarly expose it directly
to strong moisture.
• The hand lamp must not be used in an explosive
environment.
• The hand lamp may only be operated with batteries /
rechargeable batteries of the type Mignon AA LR6
1.5 V or NiMh rechargeable batteries of the type AA
HR6. The lamp must be adjusted accordingly.
• The housing, with the exception of the battery
compartment cover, may only be opened by
authorised repair shops.
• Do not look directly into the light of the LED hand
lamp. There is a risk of injury to the eyes because of
the enormous brightness.
• Do not throw used batteries into a fire, there is a
risk of explosion. Do not dispose of used batteries
in household waste.
Field of application
The train driver lamp can be used as a hand-held luminaire
with illumination similar to daylight, the light of which
ensures optimum colour rendering in order to carry out
all safety-relevant inspections around the locomotive. It is
designed to provide you with optimal lighting directly at
your workplace. It can also be used as a signal light, e. g.
at level crossings.
Operation in corrosive or explosive environments is not
permitted.
