Alarm mode Effect of hysteresis
Low alarm
Once the low alarm condi�on has been ac�vated, the alarm condi�on will not
be deac�vated un�l a sample measurement is above (alarm level + hysteresis
level).
High alarm
Once the high alarm condi�on has been ac�vated, the alarm condi�on will not
be deac�vated un�l a sample measurement is below (alarm level
-
hysteresis
level).
For example:
• If a ‘low’ alarm has an alarm level of 18% and a hysteresis level of 1%, the alarm will be
ac�vated when a sample measurement is < 18%, and the alarm will not be deac�vated
un�l a sample measurement is > 19%.
• If a ‘high’ alarm has an alarm level of 20% and a hysteresis level of 2%, the alarm will be
ac�vated when a sample measurement is > 20%, and the alarm will not be deac�vated
un�l a sample measurement is < 18%.

Viewing the measurement alarm status

, both measurement alarms are shown as
"Inac�ve"; that is, either the mode of each alarm is set to ‘none’, or no alarm condi�on
currently exists.

If a measurement alarm condi�on exists when you view this screen, the screen will show:
•
The alarm number ("1" or "2").
•
The sample reading which triggered the alarm condi�on.
• The alarm mode (where "<" indicates a low alarm and ">" indicates a high alarm).
•
The alarm level.
