7.4 How to set the PolaRx5 to its default
configuration
You can set the PolaRx5 con fi guration to its default settings on the Con fi gurations window
of the Admin menu as shown in Figure 7-7. Select ‘ RxDefault ’ from the ‘ Source ’ drop-down
list and either ‘ Current ’ or ‘ Boot ’ in the ‘ Target ’ menu. You will then be prompted to Save the
new current con fi guration as the boot con fi guration so the receiver will boot up with saved
con fi guration after a power cycle.

7.5 How to reset the PolaRx5
I f the PolaRx5 is not operating as expected, a simple reset may resolve matters. The PolaRx5
can be fully power-cycled by disconnecting then reconnecting the power supply. However,
on the Admin/Reset window as shown in Figure 7-8 di
ff erent functionalities can be reset
individually. A ‘ Soft ’ level reset will cause the PolaRx5 to boot up with its current con fi guration
while a ‘ Hard ’ reset will use the con fi guration stored in the boot fi le.
