Care and storage
1.
Cleaning
Cool the keetle before cleaning
Always remove the plug from the supply before cleaning the kettle.
The exterior of the kettle can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth without additives.
The filter can be removed for cleaning. But it is not dishwasher safe.
2.
Descaling
The frequency of descaling depends on the hardness of the water and the frequency of use.
Descale the kettle regularly for proper operation.
In normal use, it is recommended to descale the kettle three to four times per year.
To descale the kettle:
1.
Pour 25cl of water in the kettle.
2.
Add 25cl of white vinegar.
3.
Then boil and let stand for 15 minutes after switching off the device.
4.
Rinse thoroughly several times with cold water and boil clean water before reuse (at least 3
times). Repeat if necessary
It is possible to use a specific descaler for kettles. In this case, follow the manufacturer's instructions
and then repeat step 4 of classical scaling.
Never use other methods of scaling than those recommended above.
3.
Storage
After each use and when unused for long periods, unplug the kettle and empty the water tank.
Store the kettle and its heating base in a dry, clean and frost-free location, which is protected
against direct sunlight.
Do not store the unit near heated sources (eg. Fire, radiators, fan heaters or other heat-emitting
devices).
