PART 11
OTHER FUNCTIONS
A. SETTING ALTERNATE PREFIXES (STEP 36)
When you dial either “##” or “
✱✱✱
“ on the resident phone, the Crown Jewel assumes that you want its
attention for a Direct Command or programming and it disconnects from the telephone line to wait for
your commands. Some telephone companies offer special features that require dialing a preceding “#”
or “
✱
“. If you subscribe to such services and the Crown Jewel interferes with using them, you can
program the Crown Jewel to accept different prefixes.
Factory Setting:
00 (Dial “##” for Direct Commands and “
✱✱✱
” to enter programmingmode).
Format
36 + alternate prefix mode + “#”
•
The alternate prefix mode must be 2 digits long:
00 =
normal
, the prefix for Direct Commands is “##”; the prefix for entering programming
mode is “
✱✱✱
“ followed by the 6-digit password.
01 =
mixed

✱
“
or “

✱
#” or “
✱
#
✱
“).
02 =
