EN-3
20) Do not use the appliance in an environment with excessive dust.
21) Use extra care if the iron is used near children. Always keep the iron out of the reach of children.
22) Make sure your skin does not touch the hot surface of the appliance.
23) Never use the iron on wet hair, on artificial hair or on animal fur.
24) After each use, clean the straightening pads thoroughly of dust, oil and hair products such as gels,
styling lotions, hairsprays, etc., as these decrease the efficiency and operational life of the pads.
25) To enhance your safety, we recommend installing a residual/discharge voltage safety system with
sensitivity up to 30 mA (please contact your electrician concerning the options and possibilities of
such an installation).
Do not use this appliance near baths, showers, washbasins or other containers containing
water.
IntroDUCtIon
The pads for your hair iron are made of a special combination of ceramics and tourmaline. Tourmaline
pads send infrared radiation through the hair which causes quick heating and ionisation. This enables
you to perform quick and healthier hair styling.
What Is toUrmalIne?
Tourmaline is a rare mineral with unique ionisation and infrared properties. Tourmaline together with
the ceramics are coated on the surface of the ironing pads in a form of an extra fine powder. Thermal
finishing gives the surface its typical and hard surface. Tourmaline radiates negative ions and infrared
heat naturally. When heated, it creates an electrical field of negative ions. The secret lies in evenly
spread tourmaline on the surface of ceramic ironing pads. When heated, the majority of negative ions
and infrared heat is naturally released and spread around the ceramic pads.
Why are the negative ions so important?
Negative ions near the surface create a smooth, velvety hair surface and maintain natural moisture.
They protect the colour and shine of the hair while guarding against humidity. Negatively charged
ions also eliminate static electricity from the hair surface and the hair remains stable, silky and free of
waves and curls.
Why is infrared heat so important?
Infrared heat penetrates inside the hair and warms it up evenly. It is a different type of heat from
that which heats up the surrounding air. Infrared radiation penetrates deep inside the hair, instead
of the surrounding air which makes the hair more elastic, soft and easier to manage. Less heat is
concentrated on the hair surface which lowers the amount of damage to the hair. At the same time,
the hair moisture is maintained.
