USING THE HOT AIR HEATER

1.  Turning on and off

1.1  Connect the hot air heater to a power socket and set the control dial 

A

 to the ON position (turned on). Indicator light A

 is lit to indicate 

that the hot air heater is turned on. 

Note:

 

A slight odour may be felt when the heater is fi rst turned on or 
after an extended period where it has not been used. This will go 
away after a short while.

1.2  To turn off the hot air heater, set the control dial A

 to the OFF posi-

tion (turned off). The indicator light A

4

 turning off indicates that it is 

off.

AUTOMATIC SAFETY SHUT-OFF FUNCTION

• 

The hot air heater is equipped with a safety mechanism that auto-
matically turns it off when it it knocked over. This mechanism serves 
a safety function and prevents dangerous situations from arising.

THERMAL PROTECTION

•   The hot air heater is equipped with double thermal protection – re-

settable and non-resettable thermal fuse. The resettable fuse is acti-
vated and turns off the hot air heater in the event that it overheats. In 
the event that such a situation occurs, set the control dial A

 to the 

OFF position (turned off), disconnect the power cord from the power 
socket and allow the hot air heater to cool down. After it cools down, 
the resettable thermal fuse be deactivated and the hot air heater can 
be put back into operation. 

•  For reasons of increased safety, the hot air heater is furthermore 

equipped with a non-resettable thermal fuse as protection in the 
event that the fi rst thermal fuse fails. In the event that the non-reset-
table thermal fuse is activated, the hot air heater will turn off perma-
nently. In such an event, please contact an authorised service centre.
