Charging in Power Off Charging Mode

Before connecting the AC adapter, the battery pack should be installed in the printer and the printer is

turned off.

(1) Install the battery pack in the printer.

(2) Plug the DC plug of the AC adapter to the power connector of the printer.

(3) Plug the AC plug of the AC adapter to an outlet.

(4) Charging starts in the power off charging mode.*

During charging, the POWER LED lights in orange.

(5) When the charging is successfully complete to full charge, the power off charging mode ends and

the POWER LED turns off.

The printer maintains the power off state.

In case that a battery error occurs during charging, the printer turns on automatically, and the

ERROR LED shows the error status.

Since the power off charging mode is canceled, the printer does not turn off automatically.

*: When "Enable" is selected for Auto Activation by AC(MS1-7) of the function settings, the printer turns on automatically and

charging starts in the power on charging mode.

For the function setting method, see "11 FUNCTION SETTINGS", and for the list of memory switch settings, see

"22 MS SETTINGS LIST".
