and spacing have been a

tillling

be done by
means of adjusting the
switch position

In order t

6ymphonola chassis is to be oper-
ated until the turntuble is just
at the bottom of
its
stroke.
Under this

io

,
the
switch
i s t.o be loosened and slid up or

m until it
just
opens ��e

tacts. It

o
u
l
d then be thor
oughly tightened at this point.
Arter
this is done,
the Sym
phonola chassis
should
be
oper
ated and
c�ecked to see that the
turntable stops just at the bot
tom of its downward stroke.
This i s a test of the timing ad
just�ent.
If i t stops too late,
the

may
be
rotated

Sometimes the

warbling

steady
notes

tremolo.
Several
things may
contribute to this.
Occasionally iron

needle in the pickup may

vibration distorting the tone .

bearings should be
washed
clean
and
new

The motor
