INSTALLATION
MOUNTING:
1. The Securview™ SV-6820.EM Rear Vision System uses a wide-angle lens for best all around
performance. The Camera will display the full width of most parking spaces up to 7 feet or
even wider.
2. The SV-6820.EM is an embedded Flush-Mount style camera that is specifically designed to
be mounted on the tailgate on most pick-up trucks. Make sure that there is nothing behind the
mounting surface that can be damaged when the camera is mounted into place.
3. Carefully drill the hole through the mounting surface. Make sure that there is nothing that can
be damaged behind the drilling area.
4. Secure the camera into place by sliding the mounting bold and wire harness through the
drilled hole. Use the provided double-side tape to seal the camera to the body to prevent
water damage. Twist the mounting nut around the camera bolt and tighten down until it is
firmly secured in place.
5. Choose a location to route the video / power cable into the vehicle. Make sure to keep the
cable clear of the moving linkage inside of the tailgate.

REVERSE (MIRROR) IMAGING:
The SV-6820.EM Camera has built-in circuitry to “mirror” the image so objects on the right of vehicle
appear on the right and objects on the left appear on the left when looking at a standard monitor. If
your existing monitor or in-dash monitor has a reverse camera input where the monitor itself performs
the mirror image, then your picture will not be correct. If this happens, the SV-6820.EMI camera has
a white wire that can be connected to reverse the image back to normal. (See Wiring Diagram)
