3. Set Up
Pull out the plastic strap from the batterycompartment before you use your
SECACAM. You might need a little force to do so.
3.1 Opening and Closing of your SECACAM
Opening:
To open the camera undo the two locking brackets. The control
buttons are located on the back of the inner camera housing.
Closing:
To close the camera safely you must first insert the contacts of the
secondary battery compartment into the socket in the upper part of the cam-
era housing. Then hook the two plastic clips of the locking brackets into the
holder and press down.
3.2 Inserting the batteries
IMPORTANT
: The SECACAM HomeVista Mobile has 2 battery compart-
ments that hold four batteries each. All 8 batteries must be inserted for the
camera to function properly. If your night-time photos are too dark, please
replace all batteries with fully charged ones.
The working voltage of the SECACAM HomeVista Mobile is 12V. The
camera can only operate when all eight batteries are inserted in both battery
compartments. It can be operated with either eight disposable or rechargea-
ble LR6 AA 1.5 V Mignon batteries.
IMPORTANT:
The camera must be turned off before inserting new bat-
teries! Please use either disposable or rechargeable batteries. To avoid
damage to the camera do not mix different types of batteries.
