There are two ways to wind an automatic watch:

Manual Winding:
1. Rotate crown clockwise for 20 to 30 times to wind the spring.

Swing Winding:
1. Swing the watch from side to side in a horizontal arc for about 30 seconds. 

Note:
When worn at least 14 hours daily, the movement’s automatic mechanism will wind the mainspring 
through normal wrist movement, eliminating the need for manual winding.  If the watch is not worn 
for a period of time, it should be wound manually prior to wear. 

Many automatic watches have a screw-in crown and it is very important the crown is screwed in 
tightly after all settings are completed. Failure to do so will compromise the water resistance of the 
watch and void the manufacturers warranty.
