HYDRAULIC HOSES
6.7.1.
Ensure all hose connections are tight and not damaged.
6.7.2.
Periodically check hoses for leaks, cracks, abrasions or wear.
6.7.3.
Check for pinhole leaks with a piece of paper, cardboard or similar. Wear eye protection and gloves.

USE YOUR HANDS TO LOCATE A LEAK IN A HYDRAULIC LINE.

Compressed fluid, released through a leak is highly pressurised and can penetrate the skin or eyes, causing severe injury.
Seek medical care immediately.
WARNING!
Always relieve the hydraulic pressure in the system before detaching or attaching a hydraulic line to make repairs.

6.8. De-commissioning
If the beam eventually becomes unserviceable, draw off the oil into an approved container and dispose of the jack and the oil
according to local regulations.
