5.1

WARNING:

Ensure that the cylinder is not pressurised before removing the

filler cap (fig.1.14).

5.1.1.  To fill with blasting medium; unscrew the filler cap and pour the medium into

the cylinder via a funnel. Take care not to over-fill

.

 Replace and tighten the

filler cap.

DO NOT

use any other medium than blasting soda in this

unit.

5.2.

Close the inlet valve (fig.1.8), delivery valve (fig.1.4) and delivery

regulator (fig.1.13). Screw down the regulator cap.

5.2.1.  Connect to the compressed air supply, ensuring that the supply pressure

does not exceed 100psi.

5.2.2.  Open the inlet valve and then increase the cylinder pressure

by turning the

regulator cap in an anti-clockwise direction (the regulator can be locked by

pressing the cap down). The cylinder pressure is shown on the pressure

gauge (fig.1.7).

5.2.3

Open the delivery valve fully.

5.2.4.  Open the delivery regulator slowly until the desired

blasting medium flow is achieved.

DO NOT

 try to regulate the

flow by means of the delivery valve.

5.2.5.  If the flow of blasting medium is not sufficient, increase the

cylinder pressure gradually by means of the main regulator until

a satisfactory flow is achieved.

5.2.6.  Check the pressure gauge to ensure that the pressure parameters are not

 exceeded.

5.2.7.  Before filling the cylinder, turn the inlet valve off and vent the

pressure from the cylinder by opening the delivery valve

and delivery regulator. The pressure gauge displays the

current tank pressure.

6.1.

The blasting medium must be used dry; any moisture is

likely to cause intermittent operation or blockage.

6.2.

When not in use, de-pressurise, close the inlet valve and

delivery valve and store in a warm, dry location. Keep away

from children.

6.3.

Clean with a moist soapy cloth.

DO NOT

use abrasive or solvent cleaners.
