4.8.2.   

WARM STARTING

4.8.2.1. 

   The warm starting can be done when the tool was switched off but still hot.

4.8.2.2. 

   Switch on the tool by sliding the Stop/Start slider to the ON location. (fig.2)

4.8.2.3. 

   Push the primer bulb 1-2 times, until fuel comes into the primer bulb (fig.3).

4.8.2.4. 

   The choke lever (fig.4) must be kept in the OFF position. 

4.8.2.5. 

   Pull the starter cord until the engine starts (fig.5).

4.8.2.6.    Allow engine to warm up for a few minutes before using.

4.8.2.7. 

   Depress the safety switch then squeeze the throttle trigger to start the

 

operation (fig.2, fig.6). See Section 4.9 for instructions. 

4.9. 

  

IN USE

4.9.1.   

Hold the drill vertically. Place the rod against the ground.

4.9.2. 

  

Switch on the tool by sliding the Stop/Start slider to the ON location. (fig.2)

4.9.3. 

  

Pull the starter cord until the engine starts (fig.5).

4.9.4.   

Hold the drill by grasping the holding handle and main handle.

4.9.5.   

Gradually increase the speed by pressing and holding the safety

 

 switch and then pulling the acceleration trigger (fig.6). Exert some 

 

downward force.

4.9.6.   

When the drill rod has penetrated 10 cm into the ground, grasp the 

 

frame strongly and increase the effort downwards.

4.9.7.   

To drill a deep hole, lower the rod gradually.

4.9.8. 

  

When you have dug the required size, decrease the drilling speed.

4.9.9.   

Lift the auger out of the hole and stop the machine by releasing the 

 

trigger and sliding the Stop/Start slider up to the OFF position (fig.2).

4.9.10.  Let the machine stop completely before placing it on the ground.

4.10. 

PRECAUTIONS DURING THE OPERATION

4.10.1.  Spectators (especially children and animals) should remain at least 5 metres away from the workspace. Stop anyone from entering the  

 

workspace during the operation.

4.10.2.  When a person comes close, stop the machine to avoid possible injury.

4.10.3.  Pay attention to your work and the environment where you work. Stop the operation immediately something unexpected happens.

4.10.4.  Avoid working on slopes. If you absolutely have to work on a slope, pay double attention to avoid accidents and injuries.

witch the machine off when you take a break, change the workplace and leave the machine unattended.

4.10.6.  Never touch the drill rod while operating the machine. 

4.10.7.  During usage keep all parts of the body away from the auger.

4.10.8.  Wait until the machine has stopped completely before placing it on the ground.

4.11. 

  

JAMMING AND BREAKDOWNS

4.11.1.  When the drill gets stuck, release the accelerator to slow down the machine.

4.11.2.  You have to release the accelerator and return to idle to enable auger withdrawal.

4.11.3.  I

n case of failure, stop the machine completely. Check the machine and have it inspected and repaired by a qualified service  

 

 technician.
