4.  MAINTENANCE

 

 

  

WARNING!

 Be sure to disconnect the lamp from the mains power supply before carrying out any maintenance.

4.1. 

Keep the lamp clean.

4.1.1. check cable for any signs of wear. If the plug and/or cable are worn/broken, remove the lamp from service immediately and have it   

repaired by a qualified electrician.

4.2. 

To Replace Fluorescent Tube

 

4.2.1. unplug from the mains supply.
4.2.2. study fig.5, twist the upper end cap right and pull off.
4.2.3.  Grip the loop at the top of the tube assembly and pull it out of the lamp guard (fig.6).
4.2.4. remove the fluorescent tube by turning it approx. 45° until the pins are visible and gently lift tube away from contacts, replace the    

bulb and turn 45° to lock into place, then slot the tube assembly back into the guard making sure to align the groves in the guard with the  
lamp assembly. 

NOTE:  Use caution when handling a fluorescent tube and dispose of in accordance with local authority guidelines.

4.2.5. to re-assemble, reverse the dismantling procedure, taking care not to force or twist tube or starter assembly.
