5.

OPERATION

WARNING! Ensure that you read, understand and apply the safety instructions in Section 1.

5.1.

Lighting heater

5.1.1

Open the gas bottle valve.

5.1.2. Push the heater control knob down and turn it anticlockwise to the centre (full on) position and keep it held down.
5.1.3. After a few seconds bring a flame up to the bottom edge of the burner.
5.1.4. After the gas ignites keep the knob held down for a further 20 seconds then turn the control knob anticlockwise again to reduce the 

heat output to the required level.

5.2.

Turning off heater

5.2.1

Turn the heater control knob clockwise to the full on position then push the knob down and continue to to turn it clockwise to the off 
position. 

5.2.2. Close the gas bottle valve.

5.3.

Changing propane bottle

5.3.1. Ensure the bottle valve is closed and then unscrew the POL nut and remove the regulator.
5.3.2. Loosen and wind back the three bolts in the clamp at the base of the heater support bracket and remove heater from bottle.
5.3.3. Fit heater to new propane bottle as in 4.1.2. and 4.1.3. Check for gas leaks as in 4.1.5.

4.1.4. Attach one end of the gas hose to the threaded outlet on the regulator (note that the fitting has a reverse thread). Attach the other end of 

the gas hose to the threaded heater valve inlet (note that the fitting has a reverse thread). Ensure hose is routed so that it does not touch 
any part of the heater, which will become hot during operation.

4.1.5. Open the bottle valve and, using soapy water, check all joints for leaks.
